Started with Passion..

Hockey EDU started in Madison, WI and was founded on the need for more player personalized coaching. Proper skating, puck handling, shooting, passing, and puck protection techniques are the foundation of each and every player.

Unfortunately in team practices, the coaches are outnumbered. Teaching and correcting hockey techniques catered to each individual becomes difficult.

Technique development is essential for growth. Proper technical skills will allow players to grow and move up in the game more effectively and efficiently. When a player develops proper techniques, the benefits affect all areas of their game. Players will see positive growth in hockey IQ and seeing the ice better, game speed and making quicker decisions, and more fun and success in the

Growing up in Madison, WI, Coach Claudia was fortunate to learn from a city full of Badger Hockey players. She also was fortunate enough to play professional hockey in Sweden and Russia, and to be surrounded by some of the best professional hockey leagues in Europe (KHL & SHL). Coach Claudia is dedicated to helping every player grow and reach their full potential by sharing all that she has

learned over the years. No matter what age, gender, or skill level, Hockey EDU is for everyone. Contact Claudia Kepler to schedule one on one, small group, or full team skill technique development sessions.

Coaching Experience

Coach Claudia has thirteen years of coaching experience at the age of 28. She  started coaching skill-based hockey training at the age of 15 with Total Hockey, in Middleton Wisconsin. Through out her time in Madison, WI, Coach Claudia found a way to always coach and learn more about the game during the off seasons of hockey. While playing professionally Coach Claudia continued to learn more about coaching, and spent a year out at Syracuse University coaching at the Division I level and also coached in the cities she played professionally in.

Claudia's other experience includes being involved with educational and after school programs such as being a co-teacher at MSCR (Madison Schools & Community Recreation) and for Life Sports at The Ohio State University.

She is inspired by her mother, Karen Kepler, who has over 30 years of education experience.

Playing Experience

Claudia grew up playing hockey for the Southwest Eagles, the Wisconsin Ice Spirit, and the Madison Capitols AAA Programs. She played Division I hockey for three years at The Ohio State University, and played two years (one redshirt season) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Post-college overseas career includes, playing a year professionally in the SDHL for HV71 in Sweden and one year with the Kunlun Redstar Vanke Rays in the Women's KHL as a Sport Ambassador to grow women's hockey in China. She then moved to Buffalo, NY and signed a 2-year deal with the Buffalo Beauts in the PHF.
